i recently buy an ibanez 5 strings bass which i belive to be an sr885, it has a metalic red finish ,bolt on neck, AFR Jazz pick ups (two), being the neck pick up place asimetrically respect to the bridge pick up. The bass has active electronics, it has sdgr on the headstock and on the back it has serial Nº F315607 , made in japan ,with no model #, can anyone tell me what year it was made and what is the correct model # thanks !

The serial number says it was built in 1993. Don't have my catalogs available here so I can't help with the model number. If I have time tonight (and remember!), I'll look into it.

You called it right! It's a 1993 SR885CA(Candy Apple)
