Hi all,
I am a new member here, so Hi Everyone!

I am interested in buying an Ibanez BTB 600E from
Bassplace. They say it is a discontinued model, but there is no info that I can find anywhere to confirm this.(including searching forums and Ibanez.com) I have emailed Bassplace and they have no additional factory info.

I am hoping to hear from someone who has hands on experience with this bass to get an opinion of tone. I am wondering how different it will sound with those Bart single coil pickups in that angled configuration compared to the Ibanez soapbar humbuckers on my 1005OL. The D and G strings seem like they would be thinner sounding with the pickup angled back towards the bridge.

Any links available to the 2002 cataloge?

I have a 2001 and 2002 catalog and no 600 series BTB basses are shown in either. The only BTB basses shown are the 400s, 500s and 1000s.

As a matter of fact, there are no basses shown in either catalog with angled pickups. The Bartolini pickups make their first appearance in the 2002 catalog, btw.

Maybe they are shown in the 2003 catalog?

Thanks for the quick info. This is turning out to be a pretty rare bass.

Anyone have access to a 2003 catalog link or scan?
