Back in the day (around 1982 & '83) I owned a couple of beautiful Ibanez basses that were a bit different from the run-of-the-mill stock. One was an exceptional piece that was a neck-thru the body, dark walnut looking wood wings with maple neck. The difference from this and the Musician MC924 was the size. The body was much smaller (as well as the headstock) than the 924. It also had gold hardware. It's companion was a black small body piece with a bolt-on neck. As it were, I fell on some hard times and had to part with these babies.

It's now more than 20 years later and I'm playing again and want to find a the walnut looking model, though I don't have a model number for this nor the other bass.

If anyone knows these models or has a an old guitar player ad, please let me know.

Thanks!

I think the bass the musician bass your refering to is the MC888 'Beany Bass' - saw one on Ebay about a year ago. I could be wrong though, as always.

Very nice looking bass - good luck in finding one, I'm continuing on my quest to find a fretless Musician in the UK for a resonable price.
