Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I have a '94 SR506 (translucent green, gold hardware) that has a male cannon jack in lieu of a 1/4" plug. I can only assume that my pickups (factory stock) are low-z, but I can't be sure. Did they all come this way, or am I just "special"?

Both of mine have 1/4" phone (not cannon, if I read you right as meaning XLR-style, what we called "Cannon" jacks back in the 60s) jacks and APX-6 pickups, which I found are almost identical (some controversy here) to Mighty Mite low-z pickups. The SR-406 kept the same jacks but switched to hi-z pickups. My guess is that someone wanted to output to a mixing board.
