The ICW Link Generator for eBay

Shop eBay (often) and Support ICW!

It’s easier than ever to shop eBay and support ICW, at the same time. ICW is a member of eBay’s affiliate program. This means that ICW receives a small commission on every “Winning Bid” or “Buy It Now” that is associated with a referral link originating from the ICW website. Just in case you’re thinking it: the answer is No. That’s right, there are no extra fees tacked on to any auctions! Instead of ebay keeping all the commission fees, they have to share some with us.

However, eBay’s accounting system only knows that the referral link came from ICW if the URL contains the ICW account identifier. These “ICW-friendly” links start with: http://www.qksrv.net/click.... rather than the standard: “http://cgi.ebay.com/...”

Ahhh, so how can we make using “ICW-friendly” links easier on you? Simple, just use the handy-dandy ICW Link Generator for eBay, below, to create those specially formatted ICW-friendly links for ALL your eBay shopping. That’s right, ALL your auctions can help support ICW…not just Ibanez or guitar related items. The more you shop eBay—using an ICW-friendly link—the more you are contributing to ICW.

To use the ICW Link Generator for eBay, enter the eBay item number in the text box below and press the “Create Link” button. Each item number will appear under the text box. These are now ICW-friendly links to the specific eBay item. Click on the item number to launch a new browser window that will display the eBay item’s auction page. Generate a shopping list, by entering as many item numbers as you would like. (One item number at a time, please.)

Need help? Post questions and problems in the Miscellaneous section of the forum.

As always, ICW appreciates your dedication to supporting this site and furthering the growth of the Ibanez community. If you have questions, you may post them in the forum. (If you’d rather just make a donation, click on the donate icon found here).

Hints:

1.) After creating a list of items, save the generated link page to your local hard drive, as a web page. Saving the page is a convenient way to reuse the list of eBay links without having to reenter the item numbers.

2.) Keyboard shortcut: press ENTER or RETURN after entering an item number, rather than pressing the “Create Link” button!

3.) eBay will only honor commissions on winning bids if they were made within 7 days of the end of the auction. So, if you’re involved in an auction that runs more than 7 days, place your bids accordingly.

Known Problems:

1.) Some Internet browsers and security programs don’t like the “ICW-friendly” links. If you can’t see these links, try rummaging through your program’s settings and options to turn off the features that interfere with “redirected” links or the www.qksrv.net servers.

2.) Some browsers may not save the generated link page with the links intact. Safari, on the Mac is one.
