Hi Greg

this one is not right one. Jimmy plays a 1830/1880 Model, this one is a 2 or 3 years later production of a unkown ibanez model (i call them the 9xx)

Nice lady, i dont need her, got two of this series here in my museum

Take care

Hasy

I think that we should not mystify this "Jimi" axe too much.
It is not the guitar that made Jimi sound the way we know.
And then only the one Jimi owned is really "valuable".

An example:
George Harrison's first guitar was a Rosetti, made by the Dutch Egmond factory in the Eindhoven area. This particular guitar was auctioned for $500,000.- and it is one of the most expensive rock star relics around.
But that Rosetti model in general sucks. It was just all George could afford (then).

So, this is just a 1960s Ibanez axe, no more, no less (unless you have papers that proof that Jimi actually owned your axe of course. Then the price may explode in a way that you can buy a house with the money).

On an entirely tangential subject, did anyone else notice the dead giveaway in one of the photos of where that guitar is located?  Wink

Hey Greg. Its Bill from Virginia. No doubt, she was beautiful when I sold her to you, and she still is. Here are some pics of the "Jimi" guitar from my collection. Obviously not the one played by him{he's lucky he had like size 14 hands, or he would've quit playing this baseball bat}, but the same model pictured on the web site. It has a set neck, mots markers, raised{Im guessing} aluminum picguard, two small stickers on back of headstock, one says 1860, the other says Made In Japan. I believe the case is original too...like green plastic-Bill

Yes all the pics are my guitar , if your referring to the Shiner bottle as in Shiner Texas, that is not where she is located. Greg.
