I popped in to my local pawn shop today and found these two guitars for sale.
They dont appear to be solid top guitars , the 12 string is in excellent condition and I would imagine it was made in the early 80's
The AEG model is not the current one with the balanced line output but still a very playable guitar.
Can anyone who has one let me know what they are worth??
My best Ibanez is still the J200 copy which I bought second hand in 1975 !

Madmuso,

I'd like to see pictures of your Gibby copy, if you have any.

Yes, the V302 12-string was likely from the early '80s Vintage series.  I've seen a few of them on eBay over the years.  I'm not sure if the top is solid.  It's possible.  The catalog just says "spruce" (not "solid spruce") so you can't be sure.  If you're looking for a catalog scan, go to http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/search.php?searchtype=model&keyword=v302&era=80 and you'll see this model shows up frequently.

Sorry, no info for you on the AEG.  I've seen them around but haven't played any.

I will post some pics of my Gibson copy.
Yeah I agree the top is not solid and they wnat too much for it as one can buy a nice takamine solid top fairly cheaply nowdays.
I must add that I recently bought an original Gibson J200 but as luck will have it the finish has already started to crack so now a big hassle with the local shop as there is no Gibson agent in SA anymore !
I told them the Ibanez is 33 years old and that is still perfect!!!
We shall see what happens next!!!
Will keep you posted!
