ICW is happy to announce the launch of a new Ibanez related that focuses on current Ibanez products and events of interest to fans of Ibanez’s newest offerings.

Ibanez Review World (IRW) is a home for fans of Ibanez guitar and guitar-related products. IRW consists of a website and Discussion Forum. The website is divided into sections for finding information on current models in the following product categories: Semi & Full-hollow, Electric, Electric Bass, Acoustic, Electronics & Accessories, as well as Events and News, such as the NAMM shows and clinics. The content of these sections are provided by IRW staff reviewers and contributors.

Along with a review of a selected Ibanez product, each content page contains two other features that help you find more information. At the top left, you’ll find links connecting you to recent messages found on the IRW Discussion Board for the product you are viewing. At the bottom of each page, you’ll see that a short list of related eBay items is automatically generated. These features make it easy to find additional information and to start your buying search.

The companion IRW Discussion Board contains sections that mirror the IRW website categories, allowing you and other forum members to participate in discussions about your favorite Ibanez products.

NOTE: If you are a registered member of ICW, your current username and password will work for the Ibanez Review World Discussion Board.

Looks like structure for a very interesting website.

How do you see the sister forums differentiating themselves from each other?

It's really determined by the timeframe of the products. ICW focuses on vintage and older used guitars. IRW is the place to go to talk about the newest and slightly used Ibanez products.

So, now there's a dedicated place to go and talk about the Artcore and SZR guitars, ATK and BTB basses, Montage and Sage acoustics, etc. Besides that, there'll be reviews of the newer models in the Content pages of the IRW website. We're a little short on content pages for instruments...being new and all, but we'll be fleshing out these sections of the site, very soon.

In the meantime, we figured that the IRW Discussion Board will be a good starting place for many of the ICW fans who also love to talk about the newest products.

So, if you want to see George Benson playing his new 30th Anniversary GB30 at LA NAMM, go to the NAMM section: http://www.ibanezreview.com/namm/winter-2008/george-benson/

If you want to see Larry Mitchell playing the Koa Montage MCS750NT while being accompanied by Jon Anderson of YES, go to the NAMM section: http://www.ibanezreview.com/namm/winter-2008/larry-mitchell/

JohnS -

How will donations be used in the future?

If we make a donation on the ICW site, will it be used solely for the benefit of the ICW web site or will it be used "as needed" across both sites (ICW and IRW)?

Conversely, if we make a donation on the IRW web site, will it be used solely for the benefit of the IRW web site?

Thanks,

- Pete
