Looks like the neck did get a little bit of that blotted finish. I like the job they did on yours.
Do you think the pictures accurately represent the grain of the wood, or is there more flame in person?

The grain on this one is only so so. My 2355M has much better grain.

My FA100NT has that kind of flame...and to add to the visual kicker.
It also has a quilt neck.

I just played the 2635, 2355M, FA100, AF195, and the AG195 back to back to back. The 2635 does play the nicest but it is quite heavy. the 2355M's slim neck is very 60's Gibson's like so it feels kind of strange, or well, different. The FA100 is the lightest of the three and I like that. The AF and AG 195's surprisingly feel pretty good against the vintage models. I'll try the same drill again after I clean up the 2635 and set it up with TI flats and see what happens.

Yes - let us know about the TI flats. I have Chromes on mine which are nice, but my GB10 with TI's is unreal.

TI's seem to have a more "delicate" tone than Chromes which I think are "firmer" sounding. Chromes have heavier lows and I use them on my smaller body AG195 to give it more bass. But I like TI's on larger models like the 2355M. I would try Chromes on GB10 if I have one.

I played an AF105 at a guitar shop today. It was strung with thomastik flat wound 12's. I promptly bought a set for my 2635. Can't wait to try them out.
BTW- is the 2635 currently on e-bay really gonna get no bids at 1200???
