I don't remember the site where I found this from, but here's a pic of Pat holding the prototype.  It had to have been around for quite a while.

Here's another pic from that same site that I still can't remember.

It's his rig with his 175 and Roland GR-300 equipment.  Pretty cool.

Here's a great video where you can see him play his Prototype as well as his 2618-12.

This is available on DVD..."The Way Up Live" I think.

He's a madman and I love it: electric 12 string with an e-bow AND a slide.

If you get a chance and want to see a REALLY strange Ibanez check out the video Shadows and Light by Joni Mitchell. A 1979 live date in Santa Barbara California featuring among others Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Jaco Pastorius, Don Alias and Michael Brecker. Near the end of the show Pat puts aside his ES175 (which even then is really beat to @!##) and shuns it for an IBANEZ double cutaway fat bodied blonde guitar with FLOATING pickups and an ebony tailpiece. He uses it in one song... I remember a 1980s Guitar Player cover story on him where he mentions this was a favorite of his that was stolen while on tour, there is also a photo of it alongside one of his trusty GR Rolands.

Here's that video...the song is called "Raised On Robbery".

Joni's using a GB as well.

Very good the video Patrick, this prototype remembers me to an old Eko guitar, it is an Italian brand, very similar (double cutaway and very wide body)
