Without seeing a picture of the label, I don't believe it is an actual 2470.
It might as well be a 2460 (laminated top).
If the assumption that it's a 2470 was only based on this catalog page
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=366&now=21
then I wouldn't be surprized when it turns out to be a 2460.

If you're interested, DEMAND a picture of the LABEL.

The weak US dollar makes this one way too high relative to the US market.  That said, if it really is a 2470, it is rare and looks to be in good shape.

Would love to have it, but alas, I will wait for a 2460 or 2470 to surface in the US at a more reasonable value.

That US $ price gets you a REAL Gibson L5 in the USA.

I know, I know...its not a collectible Ibanez.

But still...considering the genesis of the Ibanez....

Good point….the label......so many photos of diverse angles, and none of the label, error difficult to believe, concerning a professional salesman
The guitar is very expensive, even concerning one 2470,if finally she is one 2460, the price is really expensive
It labels lost? , bad intention of the salesman?, many mysteries here

This is BS...I am referring to the dealer and other dealers on Ebay.

If there is no label to ID the guitar...then all you have to do is pull one of the pickups.

I have done this and would do it if I were selling the guitar.

You then look at the wood grains...and it will be readily apparent if it is a solid top or laminated top.

And you then disclose it in the auction...so that the buyer knows just what he is getting.

Perhaps the dealer already knows, and does not want to disclose that it is the laminated version.

Pity the guy who pays his outrageous buyitnow price.

This ain't rocket science!
