I figure about $1,750.00. Anything higher would be too much. Unless, you just fall in love with the guitar and don't mind paying more. Chazzy

I am agreeing with Chazzy...

1700-1800 but no more.

Now if this was a year ago...I'd say 2000.

Is that pick guard gassed near the fret board?

I think it'll be a good sale at $1499 if he can get it. A year ago and now are light years apart. I think people with cash are keeping their cash. We haven't seen the worst of this economic situation yet.

Wow! I just purchased the eppie elitist byrdland from MF for 1759 and couldn't be happier...it seems gibson is forcing eppie to stop production of these beautiful terada made repros. Got it yesterday and can't stop playing!!

Looks like the pickguard needs to be removed immediately!

Although the case is very nice, the guitar will probably only see it in transit.

<<< the eppie elitist byrdland  >>>

I would buy that one in a heartbeat...used on Ebay..if it didn't have that really short scale and narrow fingerboard.

I owned the real thing back in 1971...and my fingers have grown a bit since then.

That Eppie with a 25.5 scale would be killer.

Having had both the correct scale and the longer scale IbbyByrdlands I must agree - they are real nice.

If you look at the ad text on this one - it is standard scale (not the 23 1/2).
I've eyeballed those Epi Byrdlands too. Gotta find one in a store to try out.

The Ibanez copy has a 24.75 scale...

But the Eppie elitist has a 23.50 scale...too tight for me.

Well, after 10 or more hours of playtime (and switching back and forth with my 16 other guitars) I don't find a problem re the fingerboard length...could be because I also play requintos, cuattros, charangos, ukeleles, banjos and ,once in a while mandolins besides all those guitars. The byrdland sounds great through my polytone mini-brute II and exceptionally good through the kustom 30 watt acoustic amp...I was worried that the pickups would not sound as good as my Es 175 , but it seems gibson made very good pups for this baby and the Montgomery/Benson sounds are to die for. Joe,

Nice Byrdland.  My friend bought the Epi Byrdland last year from MF.  I got to play for an entire rehearsal once.  NICE AXE.  Nicely finished, plays great.  I was surprised that my hands did not feel squished on the short scale...in fact, it made me feel like Tal Farlow for a moment.

Congratulations.
