Bill,

Did you get a ton of snow up in Buffalo?  Back home in Erie we got around 3 feet!  Gotta' love the lake effect Wink.

Not too bad in Buffalo...

I played a gig in Jamestown last Saturday night, anf it snowed like crazy! It wasn't expected, had no gloves, snow brush, anything! The drive home WAS NOT fun!

We are playing New Years down in PA as well, it better be sunny! I can handle cold... Just no snow, please!

What part of PA?  I should be home for the holidays and if you're in the area I'll try to make it.

Warren, Pa...  They even are putting us up as well. It was a good deal.

Probably not to far from you? It's with the group ISIS. Lounge stuff. Jazzy at first, then it's a mix of 50's, motown, oldies, some top-40 and classic rock... etc, etc, etc.

Well, when you are home, you are only about an hour and a half away from here. We should hang sometime!

Pot Verdomme, Jy ben een Hollander?

Scrooge,

Your spelling is Suidafrikaans, just like in this Jim Reeves song:
http://lyricwiki.org/Jim_Reeves:Jy_Is_My_Liefling

Actually Pat is a Frollander, Frutchman, eh...  Denchman Grin
Vous permettez, Monsieur? Non, je ne regrette rien, comment ça va? comme ci comme ça etcetera.

If you look at who the sellers and bidders are, you can see there's a snowball effect.

I don't understand that the seller of the AR500 stripped the whole EQ wiring from his instrument. He could as well have bought an AR100 or AR300.
I guess he didn't make a wiring diagram of the original situation.
Although he uses phrases like "all original", the holes frighten the potential bidders away.
If he still has all of the original parts with a drawing and COMMUNICATES this in his ad, there is a chance that it will sell. Until now the bids are low.

Ginger,

I was born in the Netherlands, and immigrated to the USA back in the 1960's.

My parents looked upon the USA as the land of opportunity...and they were right.

My Dutch is marginal....at a grade school child's level.

I am thinking about designing a guitar for Ibanez...with sponsorship from a Dutch licorice maker.

It would be called....

A Top Drop D..... Grin

Seriously though...Nice to see a lot of Dutchman on this board...even if some are Denchman.  Wink

Funny to see you mentioning an Afrikaans song Ginger. Tongue

I'm from South Africa, and Afrikaans (very much the same as Dutch) is actually my first language. So I just found it funny for mentioning a song written in Afrikaans.

So understanding Dutch is relatively easy for me, although some similar words have completely different meanings sometimes.
