Artist Custom Series??? Can you shed some light Jeff??

 Hi Jeff,

What can you tell us about the Artist Custom series of guitars?? These guys don't appear in the 1978 brochure but I have seen one for sale and would like to know a bit about them. Orval and MikeG both have examples of these guitars too.

From what I can tell, for all intents the guitar is a 24 fret neck through Musician. However the body is shaped like an Artist(symetrical double cut away), with a Castle headstock. The one I have seen is a J78.... There are reports of other carrying 1976 serial numbers.

If you can provide some info I'd very much appreciate it.
