Can anyone tell me what year this destroyer is from. The Voulme and Tone knobs along with the switch are in different location from other destroyers I have seen.

Hi, MJH. You might try posting this question in the "Cool Contemporary Electrics" area of the board. Also, your images are not showing. If you use the Image link button above, you have to point it to a URL for the image, which means the image has to be hosted somewhere on the internet (like at Photobucket). If you look below the posting window, though, you can click on "Additional Options" and that will give you a way to upload the photo directly from your PC. There is a size limitation of 200K per photo, and a maximum of 4 photos per post. Good luck. Can't wait to see the guitar!

Marty -

I believe that is a DTX120 aka a Millenium Destroyer.

DTX120

The serial number should identify the year of manufacture.  What is it?

Pete's right,

DTX120 aka "Millennium Destroyer." It was a lower line "shrunken" Destroyer, made in Korea much like the ICX120 Iceman. TOTALLY different than a normal Destroyer, with alot smaller & somewhat distorted body. I bought one of the ICX120 Icemen for my Son. It was a little crappy when we got it, but a Sunday of fret dressing, cleaning up the fret ends, nut grooves & a good set up & it actually plays like a beast! I just don't care for the "Musicmaster" type body. It's great for my 12 year old though.

I would like to say "Thank you Ibanez," for getting me through my garage band days back in the 70's/80's. You made awesome guitars at a price that a young starving artist could afford.
