Hi,

I read a previous post about modulus graphite necks. The guitar I have look similar but I'm nor sure if it's anything special. It was given to me and I'd like to see how much it might be worth? Serial number is G862108. No model number. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

That's a really interesting guitar Cory! It kind of reminds me of my PL1770 but without the redundant button pu selectors. I was gigging on the road non-stop when these graphite necks came along and I wanted one really bad.

I was at Chesboro Music in Idaho and tried to get one from them directly but they were very expensive. I had to pass. They were solid graphite as I recall - just like the one you linked to Peter - and I seem to remember them being surprisingly heavy.

In fact, extremely heavy. Is yours like that Cory?

I don't remember these coming with Bartolini pups either. It's curious to me that the humbucker there is mounted into it's own ring instead of directly into the pick guard. I'd say it's at least semi-collectable if only because of the graphite neck.

There's a pic of my PL1770 in the gallery for comparison if you're interested.

Wow wow wow.  I SAW one of those exactly ONCE and after I saw it someone bought it
and I always wondered if I had really seen it or imagined that it was there.

They're real all right.  My friend has a Modulus Graphite blackknife stratbodied guitar
with a Modulus neck that's very nice, but since the guitar is equipped with a Floyd
trem it's quite heavy not necessarily because of the neck.

Nice guitar!

When I was in high school, I had a friend who collected his toenail clippings. I kid you not. He kept them in a box in his desk drawer. I guess my point is that, if you collect something -- anything -- that makes it collectible.

All gross outs aside, I think that's a really nice guitar. If you dig it, and you have the collector's spirit, you'll find yourself seeking out like companions for it, and boom! You'll have a collection.
