Welcome,

First of all, I must say that this doesn't make sense.
If Hoshino can confirm that there were only 60 made, they must be able to tell you what model it is.
Btw, I don't see any pictures.
I couldn't find anything in the 1987 pricelist that has these mentioned features.

i work for TOMS in Johannesburg, South Africa and we are the Agents for Ibanez here in south africa.

He remembers only that it was a MIDI guitar combining Shadow's system and it was based on 540R-HH. According to the serial number, it was produced on 1987. It seems that the production quantity of this model was only 60pcs in total"

O.K., the Pro 540R is on the list, but not the HH.
Doesn't really matter.
http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/price/1987/2_Jun/p02.jpg

So, that's about $800.- for a normal 540R.
So, the value of a normal one is about $400 - $528.- (1/2 - 2/3).
Add let's say $150-200 for that 'rare' MIDI-system.

That would make between $550 and $728.-

My guess: about $650.-

But let's hear what the Sultan says. Dave?
