Hi

I recently acquired this vintage(?) Ibanez bass and was wondering if anyone could help identify it for me. It needs a bit of TLC and I'm preparing myself to get it restored.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

Unit -

You may want to post this in the "Bass" topic rather than here.

Bass topic? That's a possibility of course,
but this is Hasy's specialism.
This one is from the era of the Yamaha shaped bolt-on semi-acoustics (1960s).
The guitars were numbered 1815

He'll like this one (the headstock crack will hurt a bit of course). :'(

Ginger -

OK, I'm confused.

I get the feeling I'm about to find out one of those things that everyone except me already knows...

Does "Hasy" = "Jim Donahue"?

Thanks,

 Embarrassed

No, Hasy is the moderator of the 50/60s section. Jim Donahue used to work for Hoshino in the 80s and 90s. He is so busy that he doesn't get to visit the forum too much, anymore.

This thread should probably be moved to Hasy's section (or the Bass section).

Thanks for the info guys.  What kinda value does something like this have, in mint condition?  When I get it restored, I might be tempted to sell it as I don't play much these days...
