Yup, they're on the chopping block. It might be an mc200, though, I don't think it has the mini toggles. Been a while since I looked at it. Definitely an mc400 though, I bought it from an ICW member a while back.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going to be selling them, but if so, I'm interested.

When you are ready, can you send some pics to:

Congrats, Whisp!

I wish you all the wisdom in the world for making the right decisions. You'll need it!
Btw, I played acoustic guitars against my girlfriends belly during the pregnancy.
I totally brainwashed the fetus playing "Freight Train"...

I saw a show on TV a while back. Discovery Channel I believe....
In it was an experiment where they sujected plants to various styles of music.

The plants that grew the best were the ones exposed to heavy metal.
The plants that responded the worst were subjected to classical music.
One would have thought it would be the other way around, but...nope and I'm 100% sure of what I saw.
it was so strange that it really stuck in my mind.

Yes, Congratulations (!!!) Guitar Whisperer on the Blessed Event.
That's wonderful news. (Going to have another guitar player in the family
and you can start a family band and make millions.)

And...

Ginger, is that you playing "Freight Train" on the video?!
What a great arrangement! (Also, is that a Takamine
F-307 -- Sounds super here.) Real nice job.
Love the musical time...how you're playing behind the beat....
Sounds as laid back as can be....  Wink

I just showed your video to my fiance -- a former student --
also expecting and due in February.  Well, now she wants
to learn your version  of Freight Train! Smiley (Liza Cotton's version's
not good enough for her now.) So I'm about to video your video
with my  little Canon Elph so I can transcribe it for her. Thank you! Smiley
(I think she's marrying me just to get free lessons for life...)

Best,
Allears

Sorry for the confusion, Allears!
That's too much honor! This one's from Denny Zager (from Zager & Evans)*:
I just found his website with online guitar lessons:
http://www.zagerguitar.com/index.php?event=public.store.lessons.home

I actually thought it was the late Chet Atkins, because his name was mentioned on youtube and he used to wear these dark gray shirts.

My own version is a bit different. I leave the high yodel tone out. I learned my version by listening to Harry Sacksioni and I learned the text by listening to David Grisman and Jerry Garcia, but I don't sing when I playing. I get kind of spastic when I have to do two things at one time. (If someone could teach me that, I would be grateful.)

I haven't found Harry Sacksioni's version on the web yet.

This one is also very good, with more attention for the bass tones:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/jtJJB2UAam4&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/jtJJB2UAam4&rel=1</a>

It's a nice tune that can be used to get a kid at its ease (or mum)...

Speaking about prenatal musical (and political) indoctrination...
I was speaking to a friend of mine on the phone about Youtube having bought a license to show all programs of the BBC, including my favorites: Monty Python,
I told him about the dead parrot sketch, but he's dyslectic and couldn't find it because of typing errors, meanwhile I was checking if everything of them was still present and then...
I found this one (fresh born: fasten your diapers! and unborn are lucky they have an alantois! Grin):
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/iSZ8X2pB6r8&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/iSZ8X2pB6r8&rel=1</a>

Indoctrination with British humor is also a good start for the kid...
but there is a chance that mum's water breaks...

My kids are 14 and 6... The basement was my little area of the house that was all mine.  Then the boy gets a drumset, and the girl has toys down there... so much for that! It's all good, I get to jam with my boy on the drums, which can be a lot of fun. The daughter likes playing the keyboard down there...

When the kids were little, it put a damper on my playing. But i'm no back out there gigging again and loving it. The kids are always around when we rehearse here too Smiley
