Where in the 'Ibanez Collectors World' are you?

Hey all,

I was up late the other night reading through the forum and started to notice how broad the membership location is. We literally have folks all around the globe. Very cool! So... being after 2am and insomnia kicking in, I decided to get creative...

I put together a Frapper map. It allows folks to 'join' by simply putting in a name and general location (and an Avatar pic if you want). This could quickly be populated by ICW members and give us a visual representation of where in the Ibanez Collectors World we all are.

I threw a quick page together on my server to reference the map.

I shure did something wrong when i "mapped" myself. It looks like i´m located in Gothenburg, Nebraska! I´m not, i´m in Gothenburg, Sweden. I seem not to be able to fix that problem, i´m no hacker for shure!! That´s about half the globe between those places and that is just how i feel right now. My computer crashed and all my Guitar pics is wasted down in the cyber waste bin!

I have to do that heavy photo session again in order to be able to post on the net. Uh, what a @!##, i´m a happy man and i have to stop weaning. A real nice initiative this mapping of all the members here, god work!!!!

You should be able to select yourself and 'Move this pin'. When it comes up, just replace 'Gothenburg, NE, USA' with 'Gothenburg, Sweden'.

If it wont allow you to, I can delete your previous entry and then you could try again.

Have you tried relocating your map location?
I can delete you if you want to just re-enter it.

Mongo, i´m still located in Nebraska on the map! Can you delete me? I should probably need a basic computer course.

I removed you, but it may take a few minutes for their database to update. Sometimes their map servers are blazingly fast, other times, painfully slow... The downside of being popular.

When you go to add yourself, does it show your original location in Gothenburg, Sweden or Gothenburg, NE? I think it's basing it's initial location for you by the IP address range of your connection. Not a perfect science by any means...

Before you submit the new entry, you should be able to 'move the pin' or just paste in "Gothenburg, Sweden" to the location.

If you still have trouble (no biggie), I could throw together a 'how to' page with some pics.

I tried to place myself in Gothenburg, Sweden again and the pin was placed in Gothenburg, Nebraska again. Is it set default on the US or something. I saw that one pin is placed in Spain so it can work even for an European??? But Not for me!!

Well, i know for myself were i´m located anyway!
