Now that I look at it, your right.
Gotta give credit for thinking in a new box...

I wonder if the brass plate has any effect on the sound? I cant remember if brass is affected by magnetic fields. My gut thinks its not, which should make it a non-issue for interference.

Modern brass is an alloy of copper and zinc so I would guess it to be nonmagnetic since it is nonferrous.

The three PU plate is a knock off of jerry garcias PU assembly
Doug Irwin designed it for easy replacement of PUs
Ive built a couple guitars using this setup. It works very well.
There is an aftermarket company that makes those "plates", Jack of Roses is the name.
I actually like the way it turned out.

Here's a pic to go with Ebay Item Number #270208893185

It looks like this one can go back to factory pretty easily, since no additional routing looks to have been done. The adapter plate may leave some scarring though. Nice of the seller to include the factory parts with it.

I can't find any reference to an Artist of any year combining a Hard Rocker Pro bridge on a Marine Sunburst finish.

The HRPro is correct for 1983, but not on any Artist. The first Artist I see listed in the catalog available in Marine Sunburst is in 85. It is only the AR350 and came only with the Pro Rock'R tremolo. This looks like an AR100 which I don't see having a tremolo option.

This is an oddball guitar. Made in September of 83, with possibly a special order, correct for 83 HRPro tremolo, with a finish not available for at least a year in 85.

Got me...  Huh

Hmmm. So there were mid-80's Artists that came with trems and locking nuts stock?

Here's another on eBay, blue, from 1984. Is this trem stock? This one doesn't have a locking nut:

If I come across an 86 AR350PLT, I'm gonna HAVE to buy it!
I'm an Artist cloud lover for sure, but, An Artist with 'basically' a Floyd Rose. I'm in heaven!

Answering my own question. From the 1985 catalog: Oooooooh

BTW, I'm with you Mongo. I've now officially got GAS for this guitar.

That's definitely a Hard Rocker bridge on a Marine Sunburst finish. Might be a Pro with the string locks removed.
Must have been in a different catalog. The other one is late 83, so possibly it was an 84 option.

The listing says"This colour was only used on this and the AR350MS and for a limited time." The AR350MS is in the 85 catalog. It looks like the eBay one has the Duo-Sound option too.

I'm only interested in the 'Licensed' Floyd model from 86.
I'd hate to bid against you, my penny jar isn't that big...  Smiley

I say you just get this one Ebay Item Number #160207066078 and fulfill that need!  Grin
