I bought this lovely "Artist" 70s vintage guitar some years ago and it has, what people tell me, is a "coil tap" switch. How does it work? Is it original or an add on? It looks out of place with all the other nice appointments...like something out of Radio Shack's drawer of toggle switches.
What way is single coil and what way is bucker?
Also...anybody know where to send me to buy replacement gold hardware for this lovely axe?
Thanks,
Brian

Can you post a picture?  Some 70's Artists did have switches.  Is it a 2-way or 3-way switch?

Use this:

/image{1}

/image{2}

/image{3}

Except, use the other slash '\'.  Each .jpg image must be less than 100K.

Trying this again. Maybe you folks could look this AS200 over and tell me if you think it looks mostly original or modified in any way. Also, who can tell me where to go to get a primer on setting up a hollow body guitar? I've adjusted pickups on plenty of Strats and Tele types but never one like this.
Thanks in advance

Sorry...I'll stop now. This is just too much work trying to post pics. Sorry I tied up the bandwidth.

Brian:

You're so close.  Just make sure your images are less than 100K.
