Hey check this out.  That "mod" looks exactly like the "mod" in one of my favorite MC400 pictures.  Could the factory have done a few?

Well what do you know - could it be that it IS a factory option making the guitar, rare as it is, even rarer?

What a weird world we've got here!

It's like winning the lottery only to find another winning lottery ticket stuck to the back of the pay envelope.

I just got a little "reality check" from the seller and thought I'd share these. What do you guys think? BTW MK - no 2nd cable jack.

Probably no 2nd jack, however, I think I've seen at least one with one jack on the front and one on the side of the lower bout.  Possibly the MC3000?

Yea - based on every pic I've seen on this one - it's only got 1 output jack. This one had me all gaga, but after seeing these pic's no way am I going as long on this one as I thought I would.  Sad Sad Undecided

The damage around the jack is pretty typical for the 2700 series and MC series.  I often wondered why the jack was not on the edge....

When Ibanez changed the 2629/30 to the AS series the jack moved from the rim of the guitar to the top-a very poor design decision in my opinion-I have seen a lot of top damage due to pulling on the cord......

None of my Musicians have any jack damage.......yet.  I will actually cry a little bit if it happens.

There was a dark stain musician a few months back on ebay that had the best repair I've ever seen.  It was a brass type cover with a straight edge alond the neck block and a star shape pattern around the rest.  I was going to try and buy it, but it slipped away.

My MC200 had the beginnings of a crack, and I repaired it nicely with some wood glue in the control cavity and some super glue on the top.  You can see the crack if you look closely, also the difference in the finish, but hey, I stopped the damage from progressing and I gig with the guitar all the time....

My MC924 has been slowly cracking along the EQ knobs for about 8 years....I don't know what caused it, perhaps the case....Huh?  I have tried to repair and fill the cracks but I just braced the inside of the control cavity and thankfully I don't gig as a bassist much anymore.  It was my first vintage Ibby, so I can't let it get too damaged....

P.S.  I LOVE the grain on both the top and the curly maple neck of my MC200, it is gorgeous in my opinion.....and I bought it for 300.00........ Cool

The knobs remind me of the ones on my EH Electric Mistress.

Aftermarket EQ knobs, and the cloud tailpiece is not original.  You can tell this part is early 80's by the parallelogram around the word Ibanez.

I own a 2710, the non EQ version.  HEAVY as heck, but worth it when you plug it in...sustain for days, and the neck is amazing.

Non-original tuners also. I'd stay away from this one boys. Nothing but trouble.  Wink

(Now what can I hock to buy this thing?)
