Bought new in Sept. 75. Made for medium ga. strings. Satin low luster finish. I'm not wood/body fluent. Incredible sound. Kept in hard-shell case since first day owned. Label states: Ibanez Vintage - Produced in Japan under strict Quality Control - Model S300SV. In the lower right hand corner, outside the label frame is - HT 75-121. At the time I was told that it was an Anniversary Limited Model. Can any one give me any information about it and possible value? |

Sorry, information on acoustics is very sparse.
The only info I have comes from Guitar Stories, Vol. 1. On page 97 under '74 Acoustics, it says: "...model numbers were 3 digits, from 325 to 764, non-inclusive. List prices ranged from $109 to $340 plus cases, with many dreadnoughts in the $159 to $195 range.
Earlier it says that in '74 Ibanez had 52 steel string acoustics in it's lineup.
That's all I can dig up. |

If you can't get any answers here or the Vintage Ibanez page, then the only other place I can think of is calling Ibanez. However, most people report that doing this yields no real information.
One of the reasons I started this website was so people could come together and try to piece together the story of their Ibanez instruments. Somewhere out there is a collector, dealer, distributor or first-hand buyer who knows the story about these instruments. I figured, "If I build it, they would come." Only it's taken longer for the acoustic lovers to get here than other Ibanez fans. J |

Look at the neckblock through the soundhole,must be there.Ibanez was using ser.nrs. on acoustics
years before they put 'm on electrics.The model code"S 300 SV"[Satin Violin]was introduced in 1978
and 1979.The S stands for "Scalloped brace"series
Does your guitar have such bracing?

I have picked up an Ibanez Vintage acoustic guitar today from a second hand dealer. Itis in great shape and sounds very nice. It is a V280CL with serial number on the label 90110341T. Another number is stamped on the wood 901117.
Can anyone tell me roughly how old this would be, its value, etc? Thanks |

Hi, I have the same Ibanez Vintage S300Sv

Serial on the neck block is 780908.
Much like the picture of the V300VH on the Ibanezvintage.com site
Great sounding instrument, the flat satin dark finish was one of the things that attracted me to this guitar because it looks like an old classic.

Shortly I bought a Concord 673. She looks somehow like a #742, but the label says Concord 673. The 3-piece-back has a center piece of rosewood, left and right is highly figured maple. Neck is maple.
I have no information about this guitar.
Can somebody help with information, please? |
