A number of years ago(1980) I got a used Ibanez Bass. A beautiful Flying V, and I’ve kept it since then.

I believe the bass is a: 2387B-CT

The serial number is listed as: G77 5292 Which I think means: July 1977 number 5292 of that month…

The pickups have never been changed, and it has very minor scrapes or scratches…

As much as I love the guitar, I can’t play it anymore. I damaged my hand in a motorcycle accident, and need something a bit smaller and easier to play.

So, if I want to keep playing(or re-learn how to play) I'm going to have to sell this one, and buy something I can play.

Finding this board on the internet made me decide to ask some questions.
What do people think it's worth based on what I've written, and what is the best way to sell it?

Hi Attrition

I'm seriously interested!
Could you please put some pictures in this thread or if you don't know how to do it, send me a couple of pictures to my mailbox (just click my username).
I hope you won't mind that I live in Europe (considering shipping etc.) Where are you from?
I will be honest with you: these Korina V-basses are rare and I want to pay a good (but reasionable!) price. It's hard to give a definite value, since I don't have any previous auctions of such a bass to compare with. And it's not even mentioned in the Argus list.
But I think we will work things out.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Kind greetz,
Harry

Long Labor Day weekend. I took a number of pictures, and posted them on a web site. I also emailed them to you Harry.
You can view them here:

On the back of the bass there are a few scratches. One on the front, and that's about it. I can take closeups of any part of the bass that anyone wants to see. Feel free to email me, or post here. I'll not be leaving town again for some time, so my response times will be pretty fast.

Hi Attriton

Great!
Don't mind the scratches and the dings and dongs....after all: it's 30 years old and if the damage is not so severe it also adds some charisma to an instrument, I believe.
Over here in Holland it's now 10.00 o'clock in the morning and I'm at work now.
I am seriously interested to buy it from you and I'll come back to you with a personal mail this evening.
I definitely hope to come to a deal with you!

Kind greetz,
Harry
