I can never find information on Ibanez custom instruments. I've seen some beautiful basses from Ibanez before, and they came from the custom shop. Does anyone know anything about it?

To the best of my knowledge, Ibanez doesn't offer any "Custom Shop" guitars anymore. I'm not even sure if they still have an operating shop here in the states. Other than possibly building prototypes for artists with endorsements, the US facility is a closed door deal.

Back in the day of the American Master series, the USRG's, and USA Customs, if you had some serious cash, you could get a custom built. That all appears to be history now :(

Hard to say what might be available directly from Japan.
