Hi, last year I bought in Usa for 600 usd a 6 strings SDGR bass: 4 knobs (vol bal treb bass); metallic skyblue body and neck, black hardware, made in Japan. The bass and treble give an incredible boost to the signal, while the neutral position gives a rather low output.
According to the numeration it should be a '95 model but this is all I can tell.
Does anyone have further info about the real value and characteristics of this beautiful light instrument? Where to find a brochure?

Virgilio:

I have a '93 catalog, the only 6-string SDGR bass is the model SR1306. This had an oil finish, padauk body and a 5 piece, bubina/wenge neck with pearl dots. Bolt on neck, I guess.

Sound similar?

Tks, John: I guess I saw last year such a bass in Atomic Music (used guitars shop in Wash. D.C.): it is definitely a beautiful instrument, but it isn't mine. That bass was HEAVY and, yes you're right: it was bolton, where my bass is
extremely light. In addition mine is completely finished in some metal sky-blue. The only other characteristic is the logo on the headstock: it is kind of silver "hologram" (?).
How many knobs does "your" bass have?
Someone told me my bss could be a SR1506 but frankly I don't know anything and really would like to know: does anyone have a '95 catalog?
Tks again John. Virgilio

Hi JohnS,

I also bought an 6-string Ibanez lately. It's oil finished with 5 5 piece bubina/wnge neck ....

Just like the one you told about. It also has a inlay saying "Custom Made".

Mine is from '94 (SErial starts with F4....)

Is it possible that you send an image of it????

Hi. I play a 2000 Prestige 6-str. It looks exactly like the 1306 there. It's model number is 3006. I think that the bass you're talking about was part of the Prestige line, cause they change those every few years, so the old ones are really hard to find or find information on. Don't know if that helps at all, but that's my two cents....
